CURRICULUM VITAE

Nikolaos Douvletis was born and grew up in Kavala. Medicine has always been his dream.

In 1997 he graduated from the school of medicine and performed his rural service at Promahonas, Serres. Immediately after he started his specialty training in General Surgery.

In 2005 he started his specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

In 2009 he successfully passed the exams at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and obtained the specialty title of Obstetrician - Gynecologist.

From 2009 to 2010 he worked as assistant Obstetrician - Gynecologist at the General Hospital of Kavala.

In 2011 he specialized in prenatal control, 1st trimester ultrasound, cervical transparency and Level II Ultrasound. In 2012, after passing the exams at the University of Athens, the obtained the certification of his specialization.

In 2013 he specialized in Gynecologic Robotic Surgery at the Athens Euroclinic.

In 2014 he started his specialization in Senology, at the Hellenic Senologic Society which is based at the LITO Maternity Hospital, in Athens.

In 2015 he participated in the International Oncoplastic Breast Surgery Seminar in Athens under the auspices of IBOHC.

2019-2020: postgraduate studies in Human Reproduction at the University of Athens with completion of his internship at the Genesis Athens in vitro fertilization center with Mr. Konstantinos Pantos.

2020-2022: Master’s degree in Fetal Medicine at the Aretaieio Hospital of the University of Athens.

The doctor is a subscriber to the most authoritative Greek and international medical journals and has participated in many scientific conferences in Greece and in the rest of Europe.

He has taken part in many Greek and foreign language scientific announcements and conferences and has participated in many scientific papers published in authoritative medical journals. He has also participated in ATLS, ALSO and ACET seminars and workshops.

His articles have been published in the electronic and printed Greek press and he participates in scientific groups of online forums for the information of women on matters of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

He is a member of non-profit scientific associations, of the Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Greece and of the Hellenic Menopause Society, an issue which is also addressed in his Doctoral thesis.

Moreover, he is a PhD candidate at the Democritus University of Thrace, while he has already worked as a professor at Vocational Training Institute of the National Emergency Aid Center (EKAB), on Emergency Gynecology and Obstetrics.

He has also taught at the Technical-Vocational School of Nursing, his main subject being Gynecology and Obstetrics and the anatomy - physiology of the female reproductive system.

Today, he operates two gynecological medical offices, one at Limenas, Thasos and another at the center of Kavala, and he is a specialist associate of the “Agios Loukas” Clinic in Thessaloniki and the “Lito” Maternity Hospital in Kavala.

What is a high-risk pregnancy?

A high-risk pregnancy is any pregnancy, where new or existing health problems affect either the health of the mother or the development of the fetus. Health problems can also increase the risk of premature birth. You may have a high-risk pregnancy if you are older than 35 or younger than 17.
Other common reasons for which a pregnancy is considered a high-risk one:
